Scholarships

 

Since 1995, the Ketchikan Pioneers of Alaska has offered annual scholarships to students wishing to continue their studies after high school.  Over the years, the 2 Igloos have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to students.

 

This year, the Women Pioneers of Alaska Igloo #7 is offering scholarships to graduating or recently graduated students from Ketchikan schools or who have completed a GED.    The amount of funds available in 2024 is $2,000.00.  Successful applications are based on an essay describing your interests and goals, grade point average, community service, letters of recommendation and financial need.  Applicants who are related to a member of the Pioneers of Alaska may be given a preference.
